After careful deliberation, we have come to the bittersweet conclusion to stop downsizing our herd and exit the meat goat industry entirely. Although we have enjoyed the past decade of raising goats, we have opted to sell all our remaining bred and open Does along with some bucks and, in due course, send the recently weaned kids to auction.
Kavan Kids Meat Goats LLC is a premiere meat goat farm strategically located about an hour from Lincoln or Omaha. We have been breeding and raising high-quality meat goats for over a decade. Over the years, we have refined our methods to produce the exceptional herd we have today and our record-keeping system has proven effective over the years in helping us monitor and manage our herd. Today, our herd consists of highly reproductive nannies who are excellent mothers. They have correctly placed teats and can deliver and raise their kids without assistance. This year, two kidding seasons produced 250 healthy kids.
