This Aventon Soltera 7 e-bike was purchased new from a bike shop last June. The frame comes in two sizes and this is the large one, which is recommended for people 5’-10” and taller. You’ll need to come to Julesburg, Colorado to test ride and buy the bike (I don’t currently own a vehicle), and I will be out of town from December 22 thru the end of the year. This could be a great Christmas present if you pick it up before the 22nd.
The bike is light for an e-bike and one reason I chose it is that it only weighs three pounds more than my old ‘78 Schwinn ten speed, so it rides just fine with the electric off if you have a dead battery or just want exercise. The Soltera 7 is fast like a road bike despite having slightly wider tires (700x35c) and flat handlebars for better control and a more relaxed riding position.
I’ve only had a chance to take this bike on one ride since I bought it. It was a gorgeous ride, about 26 miles on a bike path beside a river most of the way. I was riding with someone on a 750 Watt folding fat tire e-bike and on flat ground I had no problem keeping up even with the Soltera 7’s electric assist turned off.
Hills are where the electric assist really shines. When I hit a hill with the assist off I downshifted, started losing speed and the fat tire bike pulled way ahead. While I can definitely climb hills on the Soltera 7 without any electric assist, keeping up with the far heavier and more powerful fat tire bike while climbing required the electric assist.
This bike has 5 levels of assist and a throttle. After falling a few hundred feet behind, using the assist on a lower setting and continuing to pedal normally caught me back up pretty quick. Setting the assist to 4 or 5 and/or using the throttle got me caught up almost instantly and I had to brake fairly hard not to hit the other bike.
This is a class 2 e-bike but the throttle can be unplugged and removed, converting it to class 1 so you can ride in areas where only class 1 e-bikes are permitted.
The IPX4 rating means the Soltera 7 can be splashed and rained on while parked or being ridden without fear of water damage, but it should not be submerged or washed with a pressure washer.
This is an awesome bike and I don’t really want to sell it, but I had two regular bikes to begin with and I just received another e-bike. I haven’t yet figured out how to ride four bikes at the same time so at least one needs to go.
I paid $1,503 total for this bike. That includes tax and assembly by the shop. The odometer says 34 miles, which includes my 26 mile ride and the test rides taken by myself and others. The bike has no visible wear or damage that I’m aware of.

(Craigslist makes it impossible to format this in a legible way. I wasted a lot of time trying to insert tab characters, using different HTML tags, changing the formatting in another editor and pasting it in, but no matter what I do Craigslist is determined to destroy the formatting and make the specs illegible. All this information should also be available at electricbikereview.com so if you can't read it here try the link above and thank Craigslist for the hassle. I also wasted a bunch of time trying to make those links clickable but the site just ignores the HTML tags and erases the URL, so you'll have to copy-paste and once again you can thank Craigslist.)
